Summer season is coming and shits about to be popping off for the Tree Fam. Our tour is going to take us to at least 20 cities throughout the U.S. starting in April when Tree Shurts will co-sponsor The High Times Medical Cannabis Cup in Denver Colorado. This is only the second one ever to be held in the U.S. That same weekend we will also simultaneously be doing two other events. Hemp con in L.A where Ziggy Marley will be performing and then the Paid Dues hip hop show in San Bernardino which has a crazy lineup. After that the Skys the Limit. Maybe an R.V for the festival season? We are in the works of an event calendar plug in so stay up and tuned in for what shows Tree Shurts will be at. Being on the road always brings interesting adventures and tons of memories with new and exciting peeps. Cause hey, Peace and Trees always sparks good memories.

Kush Con II
Tree Shurts was at it again with are tree head hat friends Grassroots California at Kush Con 2 in Downtown Denver. Man I love a good visit to the Mile High city especially when we get to plant some more Tree Shurt seeds in the heart of Downtown Denver. The convention was tight, the Media was there, the atmosphere inspired some great stoned out conversations, and we got to run into some of our industry friends such as the makers of the Incredibowl and the gravity Vortex. Thanks to Jeff who came down from Wisconsin to help out and provide all these dope ass pics. Stay tuned for our Adventures at Kush Con 3 The World Show, coming in March which will feature companies from around the world and of course Tree Shurts. Stay Uppity Up.
Lit from the Lights.. Northern and Pretty
”Damn Boston gets live, we’ll see if Albany can top it tonight”. Pretty lights on Twitter before the show.
When we heard Pretty Lights was coming to the Armory in Albany, we knew we had to get Pretty Lights a Shurt and some of Upstates finest. We made some calls and ended up with box seats, a few extra tickets and some names on the guest list. Thats just how Tree Shurts rolls, know what I’m sayin? The show was at the Armory and this venue is pretty sick. It’s big, wide open, and plenty of places to kick it and chill. The sound quality here was excellent and the entire venue was bumpin out. Mike Menert was the DJ that opened up and got the party started. Then Chali2na of Jurassic 5 came out . Chali’s set was off the hook. I’ve seen Jurrasic 5 and Chali2na before and they never fail to put on a good set. Then it was Pretty Lights turn to take the stage. The second that he started playing, the entire crowd started dancing and raving their asses off. Pretty Lights even did an Empire State of Mind slash Juicy remix. Fuckin Ill. NY always goes crazy for some Biggie. My only complaint about the show was that it wasn’t long enough. Other than that the show was tight. Probably the best Pretty Lights show I’ve been to. I liked this show better than when I saw Pretty Lights at Tri-numeral in Asheville NC and even better than the show at Camp Bisco.
After the show we got to go backstage. Actually the backstage was below stage. You had to go downstairs to the lower levels of the Armory. Shit was crazy down there. Cages for storage. Long corridors with tanks that read “fallout water tanks”. I guess that’s why they call it the Armory. It was designed as a fall out shelter in case we were getting bombs dropped on us. Don’t worry the only bombs Tree Shurts drops are cannabombs. Don’t know what a cannabomb is? Whoa Whoa Whoa. That’s classified info from the labs of Tree. We can’t disclose any more information on that. Good thing this is a blog about Pretty Lights then. So back to the Show. We ended up being able to kick it with Pretty Lights and we gave him a Northern Lights Tree Shurt as well as some smokable gifts. Then he told us where the after party was and told us we should come kick it and that it was gonna be a crazy night. Let me say this. The rest of the night was so crazy I forgot all of it. Just kidding, but for real, shit was that exclusive that I can’t even go into it. I guess you’ll have to come be a part of this exclusive movement and find out for yourself. The Tree Shurt fam is always growing , always down to meet new people, and always spreading the knowledge that marijuana can motivate and spark creativity. So to be a part of the movement you have to be about peace and trees and motivated enough to get at us. So… are you in? Oh yeah and one last thing, Hey Pretty lights did we top the show in Boston? Your damn right we did.
” Damn Albany, I think that was the loudest encore I’ve ever heard” Pretty Lights at the Armory Nov. 6th 2010. Then Played Hot Like Sauce.

The Strains of Maine
When we were at Moe Down a few weeks back we met a group of glass blowers from Maine. They kept raving about a fest called Harrys Harvest ball in Starks Maine. They said, ” Yo this Place is crazy. You can have jars of bud just chillin on a table right out in the open”. That’s cool I thought, but was a little skeptical of what they were saying. I mean, I’ve been to a lot of shows and you can always get some tree so I just figured it would be like all the shows I’ve already done. I’m sure there would be some homegrown there but was it really going to be all they hyped it up to be? I guess only time would tell.
We packed up our entire Vehicle in the Pouring Rain. Great I thought, Maine in the Rain in October. Doesn’t get much better than that. But I kept good spirits and we hit the road. Luckily for us when we arrived in Maine, it wasn’t raining so we had some time to set up before the storm came. As we drove onto the grounds the first thing we saw was a giant sign that said ” “NO DRUGS ALLOWED”. then under that was a giant marijuana leaf with the words written under it , ” marijuana is a plant”. I definitely agree with that statement and knew we were in for a good trip. After a few hours our camp was finally set up. Now everyone was talking about the 70 mph winds that were going to be accompanying the storm. Better tighten everything up I thought. It was then that we noticed another vendors EZ-UP blow over so we went over to help them. The winds were picking up and you could sense the rain was coming so we wanted to help these people before their shit got ruined. We went over to the area and started to help a couple people and they told us that this wasnt there booth or stuff either and that they were doing the same thing we were going to do. As we were helping them cover up the gear we looked over at our booth which was violently shaking from the wind. Hopefully our Booth can withstand the storm. The moment this thought crossed my mind the entire booth was imploded by a serious gust of wind which snapped the legs from the front of Both EZ-Up’s we set up. I stood there in amazement as well as shocked by what had just happened. There was nothing left to do at this point other than start over.
After getting a new EZ Up, getting it set up again, and waiting out the storm it was finally nice out and the festival was now getting under way. As everyone was coming in and getting set up I noticed how everyone was eager to help each other get their stuff set up. This place is mad chill. Then It happened. We must have have some how went through a hole in the space time fabric and landed where the marijuana plant reigned supreme and everyone was eager to show and share whatever they had or grew. I don’t want to spill to many details because this place is almost to Fuckin cool to be real. It’s how it should be. I can’t wait till there are more places in America where we can be this open. Peace and Trees is not just a saying its a lifestyle and Harrys harvest fest definitely followed that motto.
The entire weekend was filled with headiest herbs and the coolest people. Young growers with their new and advancing techniques as well as the old timers kicking down their generations of experience and knowledge. This openness of herb led to one of the phattest 4:20 sessions I’ve had in my life so far. We smoked 10 different strains in an hour. We had multiple bowls, steam rollers, and joints all being freshly packed for everyone to get a fresh taste. Then we collaborated and picked the best strain among everyone that participated and gave the winner a free Tree Shurt. The top strains were Blackcherry Soda Pop Kush, Jack Herer x White Widow, and KC-39. As well as there being bud at the show, there was also a lot of cool information being shared. One of the best quotes I heard over the weekend came from a speaker on the main stage who was talking about security. Now I didn’t see any security until the last day and it was a dude in a tye dye shirt that said Harry’s security. He said that his job was to keep us safe from the cops. Then the dude on stage said that the festival wants you to feel safe and not chaperoned. Even on the last day speakers would get on stage and tell the crowd whether or not the cops had set up road blocks and if they did they would give you directions on how to get around it. Nice use of our Freedom of Speech right.
So that about wraps it up for Harry’s Harvest ball. Despite a rough start we remained chill, got through it, and had one hell of a weekend because hey, that’s how Tree Shurts does it. That also wraps up the summer Season of outdoor festivals with camping. At least here in the Northeast anyway Tree Shurts would to thank everyone that helped out this summer. Thanks to everyone that made this possible. Shout outs to Grassroots California for splitting the cost of vending at some of the shows. Be on the Tree Hat lookout. Thanks to all the shows that let Tree Shurts participate in their events even though we are geared primarily toward marijuana. We are planning on hitting up twice as many events next year so stay uppity and you’ll see us on the road. Peace and Trees
